Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) face any parents worst nightmare when Joseph (William Flanagan) goes missing in Coronation Street.

A new video clip, taken from Wednesday’s (January 12) edition of the ITV soap, reveals the moment that the pair report the little boy’s disappearance to the police.

A police officer pops over to speak to Chesney, asking if she can take a look around their home. She tells Gemma and Chesney that they would be surprised what a fresh pair of eyes might notice.

Afterwards, she asks Chesney to ring around the parents of Joseph’s friends to see if anyone has seen him.

Joseph’s disappearance comes in the wake of him being bullied at school because Chesney and Gemma can’t afford to buy him things.

When Chesney finds out what’s been happening he insists on going to the school to talk to Joseph’s teacher – even though the young lad insists that will only make things worse for him with the bullies.

Trying to do what he thinks is best, Chesney goes to the school to see the teacher. But when Joseph finds out he’s furious. And when a guilty Chesney goes to find him to make amends he has a terrible shock – Joseph has vanished.

As the police are involved and the hunt for the boy gets underway, Chesney and Gemma are worried sick.

Where is Joseph?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday January 12 at 8:30pm on ITV.
