Our Yorkshire Farm leaves viewers 'sobbing' with heart-breaking miscarriage scenes

OUR Yorkshire Farm viewers were left in floods of tears after a heartbreaking miscarriage scene aired on Tuesday night.

The tear-jerking moment came after Amanda Owen and her family discovered that their beloved sheepdog Kate had lost her unborn puppy.

Due to go into labour, the heavily pregnant dog appeared to be doing fine until Amanda and her close-knit family discovered that she had miscarried.

Breaking the tragic news, Amanda fought back the tears as the family lost the pup – and fans of the show were left clutching for the tissues, too.

Airing their thoughts on Twitter, Our Yorkshire Farm viewers were left shaken after the distressing reveal.

One teary-eyed fan wrote: “Poor old Kate, having lost her pub. Goes without saying I shed a tear. Glad to hear though that Kate is doing fine.”

Another penned: “Poor girl. Sobbing!”

Someone else said: “Poor Kate, losing her pup. Life.”

Despite losing her pup, Amanda expressed that Kate didn’t have a change in appetite, or in mood, and almost immediately got back to work on the farm.

Elsewhere in the programme, the Owen children got stuck into lambing season and even helped out with the birth of new young lambs on the farm.

Admiring the family’s incredible work ethic, viewers took to Twitter again, but this time expressing their joy, as one fan questioned: “How amazing are these children?”

Amanda and her husband Clive have lived on Ravenseat Farm, situated in the Yorkshire Dales, for decades alongside their nine hard-working children.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun about her parenting style, Amanda said: “Like any parent, you’re always worrying and wondering if you’re doing it alright.”

“I try not to build comparisons with what everybody else is doing. I’m quite fortunate that I don’t have to do competitive parenting because I’m isolated, so I can do my own thing.”

Our Yorkshire Farm continues Tuesday on Channel 5 at 9pm.
