Piers Morgan is boycotting the National Television Awards, moaning the same people always win – and host David Walliams makes his skin crawl.
The Good Morning Britain star is up for Best Live Magazine Show alongside co-host Susanna Reid.
But fed-up Piers said he’s not bothering with the awards on Tuesday
– and refuses to even watch it on telly.
He’s sick of the likes of This Morning with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, as well as Ant and Dec, sweeping the board – and also the fact his nemesis, David Walliams, is presenting Tuesday’s awards at London’s O2.
“I’m not going this year,” vowed Piers, 54. “There’s no point when the same people win the same awards every year. I’d rather stay at home and watch Groundhog Day.
“And the host David Walliams makes my skin crawl.”
Piers and David, 48, are locked in a feud following a Twitter war.
Piers has tweeted: “Amusing that @davidwalliams regularly ‘likes’ nastiest tweets about me, yet is such a snivelling toady to my face. Not my fault @BGT ratings were higher when I was in your chair Dave!’
David joined the show in 2012, after Piers left.
Sources say the pair haven’t got on for years and that David threatened to boycott Simon Cowell’s 60th last year if Piers attended.
Good Morning Britain is up against This Morning, Loose Women and Sunday Brunch in the Best Live Magazine Show category.
It’s been a great 12 months for GMB, which secured a world exclusive interviews with Thomas Markle, and also spoke to Jennifer Arcuri about her relationship with PM Boris Johnson .
