Piers Morgan is medicating himself with beer after spraining his ankle on the second day of his holiday in Saint Tropez

PIERS Morgan is medicating himself with beer after spraining his ankle on the second day of his exotic holiday in Saint Tropez.

The Good Morning Britain host tore a tendon in his leg just two days into his vacation with his wife, daughter and sons.

The Morgan family are enjoying a luxury holiday in Saint Tropez, and the nasty injury hasn't ruined Piers's mood.

Sharing a photo to his Instagram page, the 55-year-old is seen holding a beer with his foot resting on a chair and the stunning gardens in the background.

Piers captioned the snap: “Sprained foot update: medicine kicking in nicely. 🍺”

Earlier this week he enjoyed a beautiful sunset dinner with all four of his children and wife Celia after a nasty accident left him on crutches.

Piers's eldest, Spencer, 27, took to his Instagram Story to share a glimpse of their amazing feast.

Sitting at the head of an outdoor table covered in a delicious spread, Piers, 55, smiled while clutching a glass of wine.

He wrote: "My sons thought I needed cheering up after my ankle injury (or rather, they wanted me to ‘stop sulking’) so they lit up the BBQ last night with this excellent result… 👌."

His good friend Dame Joan Collins wrote underneath: "Get well soon so we can play!"

The dad-of-four looked in high spirits despite being on crutches on just the second day of their six week holiday.

Piers previously shared a snap of him on crutches surrounded by his three sons, Spencer, Stanley and Bertie.

He told fans: "Peg-leg. (nothing like tearing a tendon on Day 2 of a 6-week holiday)."

Last week Piers enjoyed a boozy lunch with his sons and Hollywood legend Joan Collins during his luxury holiday.

Since jetting off to France, Piers has shared envy-inducing snaps with his followers.

In the first, the presenter tagged swanky restaurant Club 55, and sat with his arm around oldest son Spencer.

In turn, Spencer had his own arm around younger brother Stanley, 23, with all three men wearing sunglasses as they smile at the camera while holding a glass of wine.
