Piers Morgan reignites feud with GMB’s Alex Beresford as Donald Trump calls him a STIFF who 'got a pay rise' after clash

FORMER US president Donald Trump has torn into Good Morning Britain weatherman Alex Beresford.

The 75-year-old slammed Laura Tobin's fill-in as a "stiff" in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV.

Trump delivered his damning verdict about Piers' dramatic fallout with Alex, 41, which led him to walk off set.

He said on Piers Morgan: Uncensored: "I think you overreacted by the way.

"I mean the guy was a stiff. You didn't have to do that.

"You made it about him. He probably got a nice raise from that."

Reigniting his feud with the weather presenter, Piers told viewers: "He's not wrong" after the clip played out.

It comes a year after the TalkTV host's famous feud with Alex following their clash over Meghan Markle.

Alex was noticeably absent from ITV today as Piers made his return to appear on Lorraine to promote his new show.

And 57-year-old Piers Morgan took the opportunity to make a dig about his former colleague as he set the record straight about storming out of the GMB studio in March 2021.

Refusing to name the ITV weatherman, Piers said this morning: "I wasn't too sure how I'd respond if I stayed there listening to that idiot giving me his two pennies' worth."

Piers returned moments later to finish presenting the show after taking a "time out".

But he was forced to quit the breakfast show that evening after saying he "didn't believe a word" Meghan had said in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

His comments sparked a record 58,000 complaints to Ofcom, which were rejected by the UK media regulator. It said limiting the host's views would be a "chilling restriction" on free speech.

Piers has previously spoken about his dramatic fallout with the weather presenter, which prompted him to walk off set.

The pair had a spectacular falling out on air over Piers' remarks about Meghan Markle after her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

As the GMB host walked out, Alex was heard saying: "This is pathetic. Absolutely diabolical behaviour."
