The upcoming third spin-off for Courtney Kemp’s ever-expanding Power franchise has recently added some major names for the cast of Book IV’s first season on Starz. Force is set to follow Tommy Egan (played by Joseph Sikora) after he left New York behind him, with Marvel star and TV mainstay Tommy Flanagan joining the cast as a formidable new rival.
Film and television star Tommy Flanagan is just one of the big names joining series lead Joseph Sikora for an upcoming spin-off centred on Power’s Tommy Egan.
Tommy, the friend and rival of the now departed James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick), is set to cut ties with New York and begin a new life in Chicago.
Unfortunately, setting up shop in a different state will undoubtedly raise its own set of challenges.
The series recently filled out the supporting cast who’ll be joining forces and butting heads with Tommy in Book IV, including Tommy Flanagan as the head of the local Irish crime family, Walter Flynn.
An official description for Flynn read: “Despite living a life of immense prosperity in his castle on the lake, he longs for the way things used to be.
“Walter believes that without community and family, there is no tradition, and his deeply held code of honor bleeds into every aspect of his life.
“As he ushered his family into the twenty-first century, Walter quickly saw the criminal organization he built facing threats he never accounted for.”
Also joining the cast are Lili Simmons and Shane Harper as Claudia and Vic Flynn, the children and potential heirs to Walter’s criminal empire.

Plus, Isaac Keys, Kris D. Lofton, Anthony Fleming III, and Lucien Cambric join the cast, while Gabrille Ryan is speculated to be playing Tommy’s new love interest, Gloria.
Fans are also predicting that Tommy has moved to Chicago to gain new connections and eventually establish a pipeline for his drug business to California.
However, things are never that simple in the world of Power, and the Flynn family are sure to make things difficult for Tommy when they discover him encroaching on their territory.
Newcomer to the series Tommy Flanagan is perhaps best known for his role as Filip ‘Chibs’ Telford on the popular biker drama Sons of Anarchy.

The Scottish star was also featured in a villainous role in Marvel sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and has also appeared in major films over the years such as Braveheart and Gladiator.
Power fans were thrilled to see the film and television mainstay join the cast of the new spin-off as they anticipated Tommy and Walter’s impending showdown.
Over on Reddit, viewers were hyping what could be the best instalment of Power yet when series favourite Tommy comes head-to-head with his latest rival.
One user wrote: “Sons [of Anarchy] and Power are two of my favorite shows, seeing Tommy Flanagan got me HYPED!!”
While another added: “CHIBS!! Let’s go. Hopefully he gets a good storyline. Love him as an actor.”
Tommy was last seen making a guest appearance at the end of Power’s first spin-off, Book II: Ghost, which is currently filming its second season.
With his new spin-off aiming for a release at the start of 2022, fans are eagerly awaiting the continuation of his story after his departure way back at the end of Power season six.
