Ryan Connor's self-esteem has never been the same since Justin Rutherford attacked him and Daisy Midgeley while in the Rovers.
The fan favourite portrayed by Ryan Prescott had to undergo skin grafts following his acid attack but following the procedure and the rejections he faced, his confidence suffers as he adapted to his new life with facial scars.
In most recent scenes of the ITV soap, Ryan travelled to Ireland to see his mother, Weatherfield icon Michelle Connor.
He returned with a fresh mind – and a new addiction to steroids.

Coming up next week, however, things could finally be looking up for Ryan who, desperate to blend into the background despite his scars, finds himself gaining attention online.
It all begins when he calls at the Rovers to apologise to Daisy (played by Charlotte Jordan).
They join Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), Carla Connor (Alison King) and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) who are raising a toast to Johnny.
The former Rovers landlord, who met a tragic fate in late 2021, would have celebrated his 70th birthday on July 30, 2023.

Carla marks the occasion with some selfies on Ryan's phone and uploads them, but she accidentally includes a naked torso shot of him – and he's furious.
As mentioned above, Ryan has been very cautious with his appearance after receiving snide remarks about his scars, particularly in the Bistro.
