The sought-after tickets to see Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Mel B on stage again went on sale this morning at 10.30am on AXS, See Tickets and Ticketmaster.
By 10.45 Viagogo.co.uk – an online market place for ticket resale – was flogging a VIP ticket to the show for £2,083 instead of the £295, which is what it costs at face value.
While seating tickets, which ranged from £60- £135 originally are selling from £183 – £1,786.
Spice Girls fans were left frustrated as they struggled to get tickets and noticed the extravagant prices on resale sites.
One upset punter wrote: “Well I sincerely hope @spicegirls bring out more dates because that was a joke. And £169 for a £77 standing ticket already on a resale site ??? #spicegirls.”
Another ranted: “When is something gonna be done about ticket touts? like @viagogo ? Its disgusting that so many fans are missing out #SpiceWorld2019 #spicegirls.”
While someone else moaned: “Trying to get spice girls tickets for the past hour and a half, my friend has been in the queue since 7am? How have we not got tickets?
“There needs to be a ban on ticketing touts! That is defiantly what has happened!”
This morning the band added two more dates to their reunion tour after fans vented their anger after failing to get tickets.
The group, who will go back on the road together next year without Victoria Beckham, announced they will play extra dates in London and Manchester.
The Spice World tour will now kick off at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on May 31 2019, instead of June 1.
They will play an additional date at Wembley Stadium in London on June 15.
