Damon Kinsella (Jacob Roberts) was completely and utterly devastated in Hollyoaks tonight (October 22), as Liberty Savage (Jessamy Stoddart) rejected him.
Damon has been growing closer and closer to Liberty over the past couple of months, and it became apparent several weeks ago that there is chemistry aplenty between the two.
In tonight’s episode, Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) picked up on said chemistry, and proceeded to quiz Damon on his feelings for Liberty.
Damon declined having any such feelings, but something he said made Maxine see the truth: Damon is in love with Liberty.
Upon making such a revelation for himself, Damon asked Brody Hudson (Adam Woodward) for assistance.
Brody suggested she re-create the famous scene from Love, Actually — aka Liberty’s favourite film — and therefore he wrote down exactly how he felt about her on a number of cards.
However, he ultimately decided against showing them to her, but it was too late, as she’d already set her sights upon them.
Damon attempted to backtrack, but when Liberty saw a card which read ‘Liberty, I love you’, she informed him that this was simply too much.
Damon was crushed by Liberty’s reaction, but little does he know that she’s struggling at the minute, what with her having become conflicted about whether or not she wants to allow Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) to raise baby Faith.
Is this the end for Liberty and Damon before it’s even begun?
