Strictly Come Dancing 2019: Michelle Visage ‘snubbed’ as BBC make shock move

Michelle Visage has been one of the contenders to make it through to the final of Strictly Come Dancing ever since she stepped on to the dance floor. However it seems fans won’t get a second chance to see the RuPaul’s Drag Race judge strut her stuff on the 2020 arena tour despite it usually being typical for the stand out stars of the BBC series to take part.

According to reports, Michelle has been initially approached for the tour but was recently told she would no longer be needed.

“Michelle was approached by the producers working on the tour a while ago,” a source told the Daily Star Sunday.

“They talked her through the dates and asked if she could be available.

“But then suddenly she got an email saying she wasn’t needed. The message was short and blunt.”

The source continued: “Michelle was left feeling confused by the whole thing and pretty annoyed.

“She is trying her hardest to impress on Strictly and feels like she deserved a place on the tour.”

Michelle has been a firm favourite with the viewers since the series began so it’s likely fans will be in uproar over the decision not to include her.

Strictly Come Dancing Live! will be hosted by previous winner Stacey Dooley when it opens in January.

Stacey will be joined by a host of celebrities and professional dancers from this year’s series as well as a selection of the judges.

Discussing the upcoming tour, Stacey said: “I’m so excited to be joining the Strictly gang again and can’t wait to experience it from a different perspective!.

“I’m really looking forward to hosting the tour as I know it’ll be a blast.

“I had such an amazing time last year, I hope I’ll find a way to get those dancing shoes back on again too.”
