Strictly Come Dancing’s Bill Bailey left the BBC studios looking like a total rock star after he and Oti Mabuse were crowned winners of the 2020 series.
The 55-year-old comedian, who takes the record as the oldest winner from Joe McFadden, was pictured parading his glitterball trophy out of the taxi window as he exited the premises.
With the award in one hand, Bill signaled the ‘rock on’ gesture with his other hand as he acknowledged the paparazzi.
A true legend.
Bill was masked up for the journey home and had swapped his extravagant Strictly costume for a more casual look of a black jacket and matching hat.
Meanwhile, Oti gave a thumbs up to the cameras as she left, with her glitterball in tow.
Not soon after winning, Bill and Oti posted a heartwarming video to their fans.
‘We cannot express in words what this means to us both,’ Bill said. ‘So to everyone that voted for us, everyone that supported us, any message of support that we received, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
‘It means the world to us both.’
‘And thank you to everyone who supported the show,’ Oti added. ‘It means the world to us.
‘This show is everything to us and it gave us hope, and you guys watching and supporting and voting for everyone means a lot. Thank you so much!’
The comic, whose performance to Rapper’s Delight was one of the stand-out moments of the series, said he could never have imagined getting to the last show.
Bill also paid tribute to Oti, who he called ‘the most extraordinary teacher, the most extraordinary dancer’.
She ‘believed in me right from the beginning and she found something in me, turned me into this, into a dancer’, he said.
Strictly Come Dancing is able to stream on BBC iPlayer.
