Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Katya Jones has been the topic of reports of a shakeup on the BBC show. The star has reportedly been axed from the competition, four months after her scandal with contestant and comedian Seann Walsh. Katya and Seann were spotted snogging after a night at the pub despite Seann being in a relationship with Rebecca Humphries at the time.
According to The Sun, BBC bosses are looking to save the show’s family image and have decided Katya 29, should not be paired with a celeb.
A source told The Sun: “Katya’s gutted. She knows she’s being punished.”
Bosses have reportedly issued the dancer with an ultimatum, saying: “Accept a reduced role as a back-up or walk away.”
A source said: “Katya knows she is being punished for her actions and the scandal she caused.

“She feels BBC bosses are saying she can’t be trusted to act professionally with a celebrity.
“It is frustrating as she has put so much time and effort into the new series.
“But producers were adamant. While they let her stay in the cast they can’t condone her behaviour or all the drama she caused. No one is bigger than the show.”
Is Kevin Clifton’s future on the show in danger?
The reported demotion for Katya raises concerns for fellow professional dancer Kevin Clifton.
Three of Kevin’s celebrity partners split from their respective partners after dancing a series of the hit show with him.
In 2014, Susanna Reid broke up with long-term partner Dominic Cotton after her time on Strictly – but denied it was related to Kevin.
Then in 2017, Louise Redknapp called time on her marriage to Jamie Redknapp after dancing with Kevin all the way to the final.
Louise now reportedly feels “used and humiliated” by being ghosted as Kevin has now taken up with Stacey Dooley.
And Stacey, who won the 2018 series of Strictly, has recently split from boyfriend Sam Tucknott.
However, a BBC spokesperson has insisted Katya won’t be treated any differently to 2018 winner Kevin.
The spokesperson told the Mail on Sunday: ”We wouldn’t be treating her any differently to how we treated Kevin.
“It’s not like he is guaranteed a celebrity partner this year.”
