Strictly Come Dancing's Children In Need special winner leak sparks fury

Superfan Dave Thorp leaked the information on his Strictly Spoiler site and show insiders claim his actions could have a detrimental effect on the amount people donate on November 16.

Speaking to the Star, they said: "The special edition of Strictly is recorded so more people tune in to watch Children In Need. The whole point of it is to encourage people to donate money for vital causes."

And regular Strictly star Graeme Swann accused the site of "spoiling the party".

However, Dave wrote on his site: "As per last year I will be making a donation to Children In Need in due course so no one can say that posting this spoiler was taking money away from Charity. I will also pay the gift aid on my donation because I don’t earn enough to qualify for gift aid."

He then includes the details people can use to donate.

Earlier this month it was revealed that Boyzone will take part in this year’s special.

Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, Keith Duffy and Mikey Graham will partner with Strictly professionals in a bid for glitterball glory.

Ronan will team up with Gordana Grandosek, Shane will partner with Luba Mushtuk, Keith will partner with Nadiya Bychkova
and Mikey will partner with Katya Jones.

Speaking about taking part, Ronan took to Instagram and said: "So excited to announce that Boyzone do Strictly for Children In Need. Tune in Nov 16th!! @bbcstrictly #ChildrenInNeed2018"

In 2017 it was a Blue Peter themed special and Mark Curry won the show with pro dancer Amy Dowden.

In 2016 it was an Olympic theme, with Lutalo Muhammad winning alongside partner Karen Clifton.
