Strictly pros reveal show’s most embarrassing moments – from falling through a chair to loose wig

Strictly Come Dancing's professional stars have exclusively opened up on their most embarrassing moments on the show – which include everything from falling off props to flying wigs.

Giovanni Pernice, 31, Luba Mushtuk, 31, Graziano Di Prima, 27, and Karen Hauer, 39, sat down for an exclusive chat with OK!, revealing the moments that went terribly wrong on the hit BBC show.

Giovanni – whose split from Love Island star Maura Higgins was reported earlier this week – has been lucky to not suffer any embarrassing moments during his seven year stint on the show.

In our exclusive video interview – which you can watch above! – he said: "I've never had an embarrassing moment so far, touch everything, it’s going to carry on like that, so far so good."

However, his co-stars haven't got off as lightly with Luba, who does not have a celebrity partner this year, saying: "When I was still just an extra dancer in 2017 and there was Ore and Joanne's Foxtrot for, it was a Willy Wonka theme.

"And I was a huge pink flower that I couldn’t even fit in any door. And I will have to move sideways. That was very interesting, because I have never been a dancing flower ever."

Karen, who was eliminated alongside Greg Wise last week, reminisced: "My wig fell off when I was dancing with Chris Ramsay.

"And then I put it on the camera, and then I think I kicked it. But that was pretty humiliating. It was supposed to stay on. It didn’t, I swept the floor with it."

Meanwhile, Graziano cringed as he recalled a story from Strictly's live tour, saying: "I was dancing in the arena and I [was] supposed to jump from the chair into the floor.

"And when I bend my knees literally the chair was broken. I fell into the chair in front of thousands of, twelve thousand people and I felt [so] small. And I will never forget, trust me."

Elsewhere in the exclusive video, the stars discuss their dream dance partners, their favourite themed week and even reveal who their favourite judge is.

Unfortunately, Graziano will not dance this week as his celebrity partner, Judi Love, has tested positive for coronavirus.

A Strictly spokesperson said on Thursday: "Judi Love has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.

"While Judi and Graziano will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend, Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that all being well, they will return the following week."

Loose Women star Judi is not the first Strictly Come Dancing star to be forced to self-isolate after testing positive for coronavirus.

McFly singer Tom Fletcher and his professional dance partner Amy Dowden tested positive for Covid after the first week of the competition where they performed a Cha Cha to Earth, Wind and Fire’s September.
