Strictly's Rose Ayling-Ellis leaves EastEnders to focus on her dancing with Giovanni Pernice

STRICTLY star Rose Ayling-Ellis has revealed that she's left EastEnders to focus on her dancing with Giovanni Pernice.

The actress shocked fans when character Frankie Lewis left Albert Square on Tuesday night.

Rose – who plays Danny Dyer's onscreen daughter – decided she needed a break from Walford after she was left fearing for her life last week.

Viewers were left sobbing as Frankie said an emotional goodbye to her dad Mick Carter and departed in a taxi to go stay with a friend.

“Normally, EastEnders makes you work at the same time as doing Strictly, but EastEnders gave me time off, so I can just focus on Strictly completely," Rose told Metro.

The 26-year-old, who is the show's first ever deaf contestant, has been wowing the judges weekly with pro Giovanni.

Rose landed landed the first perfect 40 of the series as they danced a Tango to Ed Sheeran's Shivers.

She leapt into a stunned Giovanni's arms after it was revealed they are the first couple to achieve full marks by week six.

Ed Sheeran recorded a special message for Rose after learning she was dancing to his latest single.

Stunned Rose squealed as the superstar singer-songwriter thanked her for using his track.

Judge Anton Du Beke said the routine, in which Rose played an ice queen, was "perfect", while Craig Revel Horwood said "you smashed it, darling."

Motsi Mabuse called it "one amazing dance" and "out of this world", and Shirley Ballas described Rose as "brilliant".

Meanwhile in Albert Square, the he feud between the sisters stepped up a gear last week.

Frankie was filled with panic as her sister locked her in the boot of her new motor.

The fiery barmaid – played by Maddy Hill – first put a banana in the exhaust pipe and later covered her car in shaving foam.

Enough was enough and Frankie retaliated by washing Nancy's white laundry with a red t-shirt.

The sisters were then got into a war of words – as Nancy claimed that Mick is only Frankie's dad by default.

The pair then got into a scuffle, with Nancy locking Frankie in the boot of her car.

A frightened Frankie was left screaming for help but with no success.

Hours later Frankie was still in the boot when she heard someone start the engine.

The learner driver mowed her sister over in the dark and left her for dead.

The ordeal left Nancy traumatised and worried that her career as a fitness instructor was over.

Despite her and Zack Hudson covering their tracks, a guilt-ridden Frankie eventually came clean to Nancy.

Last week, Mick was gobsmacked when he returned to Albert Square to see Nancy and Frankie having an explosive showdown.
