The Chase viewers open-mouthed as contestant gets very simple question wrong in HUGE blunder

THE Chase viewers were left gobsmacked after a contestant got a very simple question wrong in a HUGE blunder.

Host Bradley Walsh, 61, was joined by 28-year-old Rosa from Edinburgh on Wednesday's instalment.

The welfare rights advisor hoped to win enough money to build a loft conversion in her house.

But the cash builder round left fans scratching their heads after she made a hilarious mistake.

Bradley asked: "The Mexican giant cardon is the tallest species of what desert plant?"

The correct answer was a "cactus", however, a confident Rosa immediately replied: "Camel."

ITV viewers were in hysterics as the rest of the panel burst out laughing and presenter Bradley was also left stunned.

Rosa managed to get £3,000 in the cash builder round and then went head-to-head with Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan.

Jenny couldn't resist to make a cheeky jibe, saying that she needs to water her camel.

Meanwhile, one of the other players poked fun and told Rosa to "not get the hump".

Rosa was left red-faced and joked that she was never going to be able to live this down.

One wrote: "Don't let the camel question give you the hump. #TheChase"

Another joked: "Camel, that well known plant! F*** me! #TheChase"

A third added: "Ah the well known camel plant. #TheChase"

Luckily Rosa made it back to the final round after taking the Chaser's lower offer of £1,000.

Unfortunately the rest of her team were caught and she had to face Jenny on her own in the final chase.

Sadly Rosa was caught in with 40 seconds remaining, despite executing on pushback out of a possible three.

Yesterday, fans were left swooning over a "sexy" contestant and compared him to an EastEnders icon.

Ancient History student Gordon, 32, was first up and fans were immediately left blushing.

However, ITV viewers were left flustered and pointed out that Gordon had an uncanny resemblance to BBC One soap star Michael Greco.

Actor Michael played hunky Italian Beppe di Marco in Albert Square from 1998 to 2002.

Viewers were left hot under the collar, with one writing: "Come on Beppe. #TheChase"

Another gushed: "Gordon's super cute! I hope he makes it through to the final round. #TheChase"

"Well Hello there Gordon 😍. #TheChase," a third posted.

One fan added: "Gordon is pretty sexy!! Reminds me of Beppe in EastEnders. #TheChase"
