JENNA Coleman fans will see the actress take on a very different role as she stars in BBC One's new crime show The Serpent, which is on tonight (January 17).
The former Emmerdale star plays the partner and accomplice of French serial killer Charles Sobhraj in the new drama.

In it, a woman called Marie-Andrée Leclerc leaves her life behind for the love of French serial killer Charles Sobhraj but discovers the chilling cost.
The Serpent began on New Year's Day at 9pm and will consist of eight episodes.
The fourth episode will air on Sunday, January 17 at 9pm.
The eight-part drama is about French serial killer Charles Sobhraj, a conman who gained infamy for his successful escapes from high-security prisons in the 1970s.
Charles, who earned the chilling nicknames The Bikini Killer and The Serpent, is currently serving a life sentence in Kathmandu prison, Nepal.
The Serpent is written by Ripper Street's Richard Warlow and Toby Finlay, while it is directed by The Missing's Tom Shankland.
What is The Serpent about?
The show begins with Sobhraj, who is the chief suspect in a series of unsolved deaths of young Travellers in Asia.
Sobhraj's favourite method was to make his victims ill – using anything from diarrhoea-inducing pills to itching powder – before going on to strangle them.
The twisted murderer would then mutilate them with a knife or shoot them before disfiguring the corpses.
Sobhraj is believed to have murdered up to 24 people before he was captured by international authorities.
But he really made his name by becoming Interpol's most wanted man after repeatedly slipping from the grasp of authorities.

The Serpent premiered on BBC One on New Year's Day in 2021.
