How does MasterChef 2022 work?
For this series, the judges introduced a whole new set of challenges for this year's competition.
Every week for five weeks, nine amateur cooks are set to take part in the new Audition Round.
The judges will not overlook the cooking in the MasterChef kitchen, and will instead be served each dish in the new Tasting Room.
As they would in a restaurant, the judges will judge each contestant’s meal based on the plate that is put in front of them.
John Torode and Gregg Wallace will pick their top three dishes then will give the best cooks a MasterChef apron and immunity from cooking in the following round.
