The therapist, 50, found herself getting upset as host Davina McCall led a group discussion about their search for love in the garden.

She ran into the house in tears, leading Davina to go comfort her and offer a shoulder to cry on.

Monique revealed: ‘I couldn’t stop it. It’s just I’ve never had that where you’re just in love and you just want to love someone because you’re a nice person. But you’re never good enough for someone to stick around for.Ā

She added: ‘My dad said it before he died, he said to me, “Whatever you do in this lifetime, find love”.’

Her daughterĀ Taiya, 21, was watching with the other kids in the surveillance room and was also in floods in tears seeing her mum get upset.

She explained: ‘She has been cheated on multiple times by several people and I think it did trigger something in her.’

Davina comforted Monique and said: ‘You’re a long way away from the end of your life. You’re going to get there Monique.’Ā

Monique wiped her tears and declared: ‘I’ve got nothing to lose. It was just an emotional build up. It’s a difficult road to be so vulnerable to a group of strangers.’Ā

She headed out to the others and admitted: ”I just want to give love and be loved. Heartbreak, I’ve had enough of it.’Ā

Taiya gushed: ‘I’m just so proud of her, I really am. I think this may be the start for her and allow her to break through’.Ā

Elsewhere in the episode, Kaliel and Mazey decided to send her dad Paul and his mum Natalie on a paddle boarding date.

Janey was nominated to take part on the show by her son Will, 19, with her saying he put her forwardĀ ‘because he’s lost all hope for me, he thinks I’m undateable! He wants me to meet someone.’Ā

Will sweetly told how he wants his mother to find ‘comfort and peace of mind’ from the dating retreat and admitted she ‘needs to be herself more’.Ā

Ahead of her entrance she said: ‘I think people might get me wrong at first.Ā I’m aware I might be judged on how outgoing I might be, and the fact my job is performing.

‘In reality, I could be the most sensitive person there. And I’m emotional. I’m excited to meet someone that sees that side of me.’Ā

Following my wife passing 18 months ago, I didnā€™t really want to meet anyone. You donā€™t expect it to be you and you donā€™t expect it to be your wife. But Iā€™m going on the show to get some confidence. I must have subconsciously wanted to meet someone by saying yes to the show.

Name: Jess

Age: 28

Location: Derbyshire

Profession:Ā Network rail plannerĀ

Why did you nominate your dad to go on the show? It was a joint thing with my brother and sister and it was our way of basically telling him that we were happy for him to start dating, if that was something he wanted to do.Ā

It was a cop out on our part really, as it meant weĀ didnā€™t need to sit down and actually say it. It was a sneaky way of saying, ā€˜Oh look at this, do you want to look into this?ā€™ Never actually expected anything to come of it.

It was about putting dad first. Weā€™d never really thought about us, or about ourselves in that situation. I wasnā€™t thinking about how Iā€™d react, I was thinking about him.

The reason for that is he does the same for us, he would always put family first. So it was just a way of saying to him, stop worrying about us. If he wasnā€™t ready, that was also totally fine. It wasnā€™t an ultimatum. It was just, if you want to, you can, donā€™t worry about us.

Why did you nominate your dad to go on the show?Ā I want him to get out there a bit. Heā€™s been focussed on us kids and his work and not even really thought about the possibility of meeting someone new that he could date or have a relationship with.Ā

He deserves that and to have someone to do nice things with and have an emotional connection with outside of his kids.
