Peter Andre has announced that he is joining GB News as one of their guest presenters.
The I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! star, 50, admitted he is 'quite nervous' as he confirmed he is set to co-host a new show on the channel throughout December.
The Mysterious Girl singer will present Saturday Morning Live with Ellie Costello from 10 am to 12 noon starting this Saturday.
He made his presenting debut on GB News in May, co-hosting three episodes of Breakfast with Ellie when the pair stood in for Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster.
Peter, who is set to become a dad for the fifth time next year, said: “I can’t wait.
"Ellie and I got on so well in May, and although I was quite nervous because 'Breakfast' is such a tough gig, I really loved it.”
He added: “Viewers are really included in GB News programmes, so there’s an intimacy to your relationship with the audience that’s rare in television.
"I got wonderfully kind feedback from everyone, so it’ll be a joy to join the GB News family throughout Christmas.”
The dad-of-four already hosts Miss World every year to an audience of two billion people worldwide and has co-presented various ITV shows, including a Loose Women & Men special.
He’s also appeared on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and Strictly Come Dancing.
Head of Programming Ben Briscoe said: “Peter has proved he’s a natural when it comes to the high demands of anchoring a fast-paced news and current affairs programme.
"He and Ellie have a wonderful rapport, and the warmth of that really came across. We had lots of viewers ask us to give Peter a more regular gig, so this was an easy decision.”
Saturday Morning Live will replace Mornings with Esther & Phil, which ended earlier this month when its co-host Esther McVey took up a position in parliament.
Esther’s husband and former co-presenter Philip Davies, also an MP, is also a regular commentator on GB News.
The news has been met with split opinion after GB News unveiled Peter as a guest presenter via their social media channels.
Some people worried that Peter isn’t opinionated enough for the channel that describes itself as ‘not wanting to shy away from controversial issues.’
One person said: "Too nice to be on this show.”
Another said: “"Awww.. and I used to respect him. Meh, maybe I'm judging him too harshly.”
