A PLACE in the Sun fans were left fuming by a guests' "downright insulting"gesture to the owners of the property.
Presenter Jean Johannson was on board to help couple Vicky and Carl find their dream holiday home in Southern Costa Blanca.
Their budget was originally set at £70,000.
But after checking out the fourth property, which was listed for £95,726, the couple was willing to bend a little.
After returning to their hotel to consider their options, they informed Jean the following morning that they had decided on what they would give.
During the conversation, Carl admitted, "I'm afraid we'll have to make a cheeky offer."

"When you say cheeky, what offer would you like me to take forward to the agent?"
Carl replied: "We are cash buyers and we are going to go in at £80,000."
Jean then firmly responded, saying, "The agent made it clear that she would prefer offers around £90,000."

The agent came back to them with a counteroffer of £95,000, which was a bit disappointing.
With their persistent determination, the couple made another attempt by submitting a counteroffer of £93,000.
Much to their satisfaction, their offer was accepted.
Viewers were left in shock when they learned that the couple's initial offer was £80,000, which was a staggering £15,000 below the asking price.
