BBC Strictly fans rage branding result ‘a fix’ as elimination leaks

Strictly Come Dancing viewers have been left raging over the show’s seventh elimination.

Fans have claimed the BBC programme is “fixed” as they spoke out in their droves on X, formerly Twitter.

It comes after the latest result was leaked online, which is pre-recorded on a Saturday but broadcast the following day.

Express.co.uk has chosen not to name who leaves the competition, which comes ahead of the Blackpool special next weekend.

One user tweeted after discovering the result: “I knew that would happen. I don’t like shouting fix but FIX for [NAME] and f***ing Blackpool.”

A second agreed: “Blatant fixing to get [NAME] to Blackpool and it stinks… The last 2 weeks have been a joke and very damaging to Strictly, why vote? #fixed.”

A third wrote: “Every other contestant has to jump through hoops to impress judges! Just seems so unfair…”

Someone else simply stated: “BBC come on… Fix or what?” as another urged: “Wish the judges would listen to us viewers.”

“They literally wanted to save [NAME] for Blackpool. It’s a joke… Enough is enough now. They’re eliminating those who can have made progress & can dance better. It isn’t fair #strictly,” another tweet fumed.

However, some suggested the news was a long time coming, with a viewer posting: “It’s about time!”

A second said: “Based on dancing ability alone though, it was probably the right choice.”

The leak comes after Adam Thomas became the sixth celebrity to depart the competition last week.

The actor faced the dreaded bottom spot for a second week in a row, and went up against Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington.

Last night Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin stormed to the top of the leaderboard with their Argentine Tango to Tattoo by Loreen.

At the other end of the leaderboard was Angela and Kai, who pulled in just 32 points for their Paso Doble to Hung Up by Madonna.

However, many were left distracted by host Claudia Winkleman as she was compared to Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.

Strictly Come Dancing returns tonight at 7.20pm on BBC One.
