Nigel Harman sends thank you message to Katya
It looks as though Casualty star Nigel Harman is returning to Strictly Come Dancing this weekend for the show’s grand finale. However, it’s believed the 50-year-old won’t be taking to the dancefloor.
Nigel was dealt a devastating blow when he was forced to leave the competition after sustaining an injury during rehearsals. The actor had managed to make it up to the quarter-finals with his professional dance partner Katya Jones.
Despite missing out on a spot to reach the top three, The Mirror reports he’ll be returning to the show along with the other eliminated contestants from this year. However, due to his injury, it’s reported he won’t be able to perform.
Although he seemed to get on well with his pro partner, it’s said that staff on the show were “relieved” with his exit over alleged mood swings. A Strictly insider told The Sun that Nigel takes himself seriously as a performer.
A source told The Sun: “So obviously he’s very emotional if things don’t go as he hoped. That often means that he can be like a bear with a sore head backstage.” However, the BBC later insisted there was no truth to claims the Strictly Come Dancing team was “relieved” to see the back of Nigel.

Despite feud speculation, the source added the show wishes Nigel the best following his sudden departure from the show.
A spokesperson told Express.co.uk: “Nigel Harman will be returning for the final of Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday, December 16, he will be featured in the show alongside other 2023 cast members. He had to leave the competition early due to sustaining an injury, therefore will not be performing in the final.”
Both Nigel and Katya appeared on the quarter-final show to speak to presenter Claudia Winkleman about how they felt.

Watching their best bits from the series, Katya was overcome with emotion and started to cry as she leaned into Nigel.
She commented: “It’s quite hard to talk right now, I’m not going to lie! But I have absolutely loved every moment of us creating magic on a dance floor.”
Although they may have missed out on the opportunity to raise the Glitterball, they’ll be there on the final night to see who takes the championship.
This Saturday, Ellie Leach, Bobby Brazier and Layton Wiliams will be taking to the dancefloor one last time.
With the stakes higher than ever, the contestants will be dancing three separate routines in a bid to impress the public.
The routines will consist of a show dance, a judges’ choice and their favourite dance of the series.
