LINDA Carter looks set to have a Halloween that she would rather forget in Walford this year.
EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw has teased that it will be more tricks than treats for the Albert Square favourite on the BBC soap over the next few weeks.
It is likely to be Linda's (Kellie Bright) major story arc for the ongoing The Six stroyline which sees six of the soap's fiercest female characters all involved in a brutal Christmas Day murder with each of the women following their own path of destruction to get there.
Things have not been easy for Linda over the past 12 months.
Having lost her estranged husband Mick, played by Danny Dyer, she has dealt with running the pub alongside her mum and the new Knight family.
Head of the soap Chris confessed that the upcoming Halloween would be a difficult time for Linda and she will be flooded with memories of Mick before things take a dark turn.

He told Inside Soap: "Poor Linda's struggling this Halloween as it's the first one without Mick; obviously she wasn't with Mick this time last year, but Halloween was very much their thing, and something they did together in the Vic.
"So, she's trying her best to make a go of things, but she gets one hell of a surprise that she doesn't bargain for…"
Speculation has been rife that Linda's brother-in-law and her rapist dean Wicks could be making a return with many wondering if he will end up as the body on the floor of The Vic this Christmas.
Dean put Linda through hell around eight years ago and so a potential return would come as a huge shock to Linda.

His mother, Shirley, has also been missing from the show this year after taking a break but with her return imminent, it has added heaps of questions as to whether they will return together.
Speaking to RadioTimes earlier this year, Kellie spoke of a potential return for Dean.
The actress told the publication: "I’d be totally up for him coming back as it creates drama and story.
"Linda has processed the rape and managed to get on with her life pretty well, [though] it has come out in other ways like her alcoholism.
"But she’s okay because Dean’s not there. If he suddenly walked through the door, it would be very confronting. I wonder what that would do to her."
