NETFLIX fans have been left shocked as an iconic 90s TV villain makes a surprise appearance in Squid Game: The Challenge.
The new reality series is based on the twisted South Korean drama which airs on Netflix.
It sees 456 contestants battle it out across a series of bizarre and difficult challenges to try and win $4.56 million, the largest single cash prize in reality TV show history.
The show launched today and Netflix viewers have been left shocked to learn a 90s TV villain is part of it.
Posting a snap of some of the contestants – dressed in the iconic green Squid Game tracksuits – on the official Netflix account, the caption read: "4.56 million (imaginary) dollars to anyone who spotted this iconic '90s villain in Squid Game: The Challenge."
The picture featured a number of men and women, with one bald male contestant wearing a white T-shirt with his number 172 on the front.

Fans had to do a double take before realising it is Michael Van Wijk – aka Wolf from classic 90s show, Gladiators.
Replying to the post, one fan wrote in surprise: "Wolf?!"
Another added: "Everyone saying Wolf from Gladiators. And I think you’re right…But why did I see the Demon Headmaster on my first look….."
A third tweeted: "Is that….is that Wolf?!"

Wolf was the show's ultimate baddie and was part of the series from 1992 to 1999.
He went on to become the team coach for the 2008 revival of the series.
Gladiators will return again next year on the BBC with hosts Bradley and Barney Walsh and a new batch of Gladiators.
