Phillip Schofield surprised his fans as he made a shock appearance at the National Television Awards on Tuesday night.
The former This Morning presenter missed out on the award show for the first time as his former co-star Holly Willoughby was set to do it alone.
The move comes after the 61-year-old was removed from the ITV programme after he confessed that he lied about having an affair with a younger co-worker.
He later apologised for his actions, calling his relationship with the colleague “unwise but not illegal”.
