Former Big Brother star Nicola McLean has opened up about her TV “feud” with Loose Women’s Denise Welch.
Nicola, 42, and Denise, 65, starred together on Celebrity Big Brother in 2012 and clashed on multiple occasions, although the former Page 3 star claimed she had the actress’ best interests at heart.
In one incident, Nicola claimed Denise was “drunk” after she flashed her breasts to the rest of her housemates and viewers watching the Channel 5 reality show at home.
In a bid to help the star, Nicola ran to her rescue to try and cover her up and put her clothes back.
She explained: “I was just trying to help her because if I was that drunk, I’d want someone to sort me out”, reports The Daily Star.

“Now she’s sober, and she’s been sober for a long time. I think it’s step four of AA is making amends, which, she works the programme. And I feel like if you watch that back and see some things, she should have made amends, but she never had.”
Nicola also explained how she was upset after Denise wrote about her in her book and said it was a shame she never reached out.
“I thought after reflecting on it that she would have apologised, but she never did, which is a shame, but…”, she said.
Nicola also chose Denise as the “wildest” housemate in her series after her antics took the title.

Denise went on to win Celeb Big Brother in 2012 after winning the hearts of viewers.
But in 2021, Denise explained her regret of going onto the reality show and admitted that winning was a “hollow victory”.
Denise was discussing life regrets with her fellow Loose Women panellists Nadia Sawahla, Stacey Solomon and Linda Robson in an episode of the ITV daytime show.
She said: “I sometimes think maybe I am mixing up regret with shame, and guilt, because obviously my drinking and everything in my life was in free fall, and so much was out of my control, I have a lot of shame associated with that time.”
“Do I regret not finding the strength, if it is strength, to give up drinking earlier? Yes I do.
“Career decisions, things I have turned down, things I have passed on, I don’t really regret because the reasons were genuine. The only thing I regret if I had my time again, is doing Big Brother.”
