Emmerdale: Craig gets arrested
Emmerdale fans have claimed they have “worked out” who will be the key element to Craig Reed (played by Ben Addis) being found out after Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) confronted her rapist on the ITV soap.
In recent scenes, Lydia was heartbreakingly raped by her boss and old friend Craig whilst at work, keeping her ordeal a secret from her family.
Craig and Lydia grew up in the same children’s home where Lydia fell pregnant at age 15 and eventually gave birth alone but tragically the baby, Toby, was stillborn.
Lydia decided to keep the crime to herself but eventually broke down and confided in Kim Tate (Claire King), who encouraged her to reveal to her family what had happened and confront Craig.
Since the rape, Craig has denied it and instead claimed it was consensual, even beginning to show up at her house and harassing her to stop her exposing what he did to her.

His constant arrival at their home began to spark speculation that Lydia and Craig were having an affair forcing Lydia to come clean to Sam Dingle (James Hooton) about what had happened.
In brave scenes, Lydia shared her trauma that she was raped by Craig, with the Dingles rallying around her in support.
Furious at what Craig had done to his wife, Sam stormed over to his office and confronted him, soon being joined by Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) and Lydia.
Craig continued to deny raping Lydia, lying that it was “consensual”, leading Lydia to snap and confronted him before reporting him to the police.
However, during these scenes, some fans were left distracted when they noticed that Craig’s receptionist was looking suspicious towards Craig.

After he was arrested, the receptionist was seen in tears as she watched him being taken away by the police, forcing viewers to take to their Twitter accounts.
One fan wrote: “That receptionist woman knows something. She’s had too many scenes and lines to only be an extra.”
A second user added: “She will be Craig’s downfall. He’ll talk his way out of raping Lydia but then she will report him also.”
“Craig’s receptionist knows something. #Emmerdale,” a third user expressed.
A fourth account commented: “I think the receptionist will come up with some evidence or a witness statement in support of Lydia, at some point #emmerdale.” (sic)
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
