I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! is known for testing it's contestants patience by offering only a rationed amount of food and drinks in camp, with the stars participating banned from enjoying hot beverages such as tea and coffee.
So, what do you do when banned from drinking tea? Make up your own, according to 2022 winnerJill Scott. The former Lioness has revealed that she and her fellow campmates took matters into their own hands as they attempted to recreate the popular drink.
She told OK!: "We did a lot of tea drinking in there -we made up our own teas – it was really hot banana water that we’d try and pretend was tea, but it was more the experience of it."
Jill was crowned the queen of the jungle after bagging the win last year, appearing alongside stars such as Boy George, Sue Cleaver and Matt Hancock.
Looking back on her time on the show, the sportswoman continued: "Being in the jungle, we tried to get that moment of bringing everyone together. It actually brought happiness to my day, especially before gruelling trials. It does go to show having a pause moment is important. I wonder if the new campmates will make tea."
Attempting to have a cup of tea in camp wasn't the only food-related crime that Jill carried out, as she has also admitted to stealing a steak from camp – and hiding it underneath her hat!
Appearing on Chris Moyles' radio show, she admitted to taking the steak when she was part of the campmates who were treated to a barbecue on the beach.
Speaking on his Radio X show, Chris said: "Are you aware that Jill Scott, the Lioness, nicked food from that barbecue on the beach and smuggled it back into camp?"
Jill then said: "Yeah, I did. If you watch the episode, I'm wearing a hat, which I never would wear my hat because I don't suit hats.
"And what I did was, I got a steak in the top of my hat. I could just feel the grease seeping through my hair."
She added: "The other thing I did – which I don't mind mentioning – basically there was a big thing of sourdough bread. So I've ripped it in half, wrapped it in some paper and I was like, 'Where can I put this?'
"I had a bikini top on so for the first time ever I filled my bikini top with sourdough and when we got back we distributed it evenly to people who wanted food. I didn't tell them where the food had been, but I don't think Owen would have minded. "
