I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! is back, bringing with it a host of stars ready to take on the creepy crawly challenges down under.
Josie Gibson, Sam Thompson, Danielle Harold, Marvin Humes and Nick Pickard are among the celebrities heading into the jungle this year, but they won't be taking on bushtucker trials and camp conditions for nothing. Contestants typically receive a hefty payment for appearing on the hit ITV show, with some celebrities earning more than others. On this year's series Nigel Farage is rumoured to be receiving a huge £1.5m.
Some of the biggest earners from previous years include the likes of former Olympic gold medalist and TV personality Caitlyn Jenner and Deal or No Deal presenter Noel Edmonds. While we don't know how much this year's stars will be paid, producers were reportedly so determined to sign This Morning star Josie up for the show that she has been offered a "mega" sum of money – usually reserved for the biggest of stars.
As we watch the new series unfold with a bunch of eager campmates, let's take a look back at the highest-paid contestants of all time…
1. Noel Edmonds – £600,000
Some I'm A Celebrity fans may be shocked to hear that Noel Edmonds, 74 is reportedly the highest-paid contestant to appear on the hit ITV show. The Deal Or No Deal presenter entered the jungle in 2018 as a late "surprise" for campmates but became the first to leave by the public vote.
2. Caitlyn Jenner – £500,000
Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and former Olympic gold medalist, Caitlyn Jenner, 74 took part in I'm A Celebrity in 2019. She was reportedly paid a whopping £500,000.
Viewers were excited that a Kardashian was entering the jungle and thought she would spill some secrets about one of the most famous families in the world. But Caitlyn opted to keep any bombshells to herself and finished the show in sixth place.
3. Harry Redknapp – £500,000
Former footballer and manager, Harry Redknapp, 76 stole the hearts of the nations during his time on the show and became the King of the Jungle in 2018. He was reportedly paid £500,000 to head into the jungle and appeared to be well worth the cash having had such a positive response from viewers.
4. Boy George – £500,000
Popstar, Boy George, 62 certainly made his mark during his time in the jungle in 2022 and was reportedly paid the same as Caitlyn and Harry, £500,000. This amount of cash, if correct, would have made him the highest-paid star of the series, more than Matt Hancock, Jill Scott and Mike Tindall's takings.
5. Katie Price – £450,000
Media personality and former model, Katie Price, 45 entered the jungle for the second time in 2009, five years since her first stint where she met ex-husband Peter Andre. Their romance blossomed when they were in the jungle in 2004 and quickly boosted the show's popularity.
To appear on the show for the second time Katie was reportedly paid £450,000. At the time she had recently split from the Mysterious Girl singer and entered the jungle with a whole new perspective.
6. Ian Wright – £400,000
Another star earning a whopping figure from their time in the jungle is former footballer Ian Wright, 60 who took part in the show in 2019. He was thought to have been paid £400,000 and lasted 18 days, not bad.
Other stars who reportedly received a hefty chunk of cash from taking part in I'm A Celebrity include:
- Amir Khan – £400,000
- Matt Hancock – £400,000
- Mo Farah – £300,000
