Naked Attraction: Adele shares she was ghosted by date

A Naked Attraction date didn’t go according to plan when a joke proposal backfired.
Leon was welcomed to the controversial Channel 4 series to find his other half, showing some interest to presenter Anna Richardson to explore his “bi-curious” side.
He isn’t the first contestant to want to try something new on the show, with previous participants like wannabe throuples, but when it came to making his final decision, he chose to take Martha on a date.
Anna was clearly surprised but, of course, this is far from the first time she was taken aback by one of her guests, given the unpredictable nature of Naked Attraction.
And it seemed that Leon had made the right choice when he and Martha went for a drink.

The pair seemed to hit it off right from the get-go, discussing their love for wrestling and finishing each other’s sentences.
“So she’s quite sexual, quite experimental and likes wrestling”, Leon said.
“It’s kind of surreal how much we get on just after meeting each other.”
Martha also had some positive feedback, telling the cameras in a separate interview: “We share a bi-curiosity and I think we’re both up for exploring that, maybe together, hopefully.”
Shortly after sharing a kiss, however, things quickly went downhill when he joked: “I’m just going to get down on one knee now”, with her replying: “Wow, OK, didn’t see that coming”, later stating that she was “gobsmacked”.

This seemed to be the moment that put Martha off though as in an interview three weeks later, she told Leon it didn’t sit right with her.
“You did come on quite strong I thought, not in a bad way. ‘Why don’t I just marry you now?’ and it was like ‘OK.’”
Leon said he was just “pulling a joke” to which she replied: “I knew you were kind of joking but also I was like ‘on a first date. Really?’”
He then added: “There was no seriousness in it, like, I have no desire to be tying any knots any time soon.”

Martha didn’t seem happy with this response though and continued: “So there is a fine line between taking the p**s and being serious.
“I’m sure if you said that to someone else they would have either been quite offended or shocked or taken you really seriously and got way too attached.”
Their potential romance may not have worked out but at the end of the episode, it was revealed Leon is dating someone new.
